TRAVEL: Anawangin Cove, Zambales

The first of 2 beach getaways in my 2 weeks of vacation in the Philippines! This was the first ever for us – Palaspas cousins, to get away with no adult supervision and hours away from the city.

It was one hell of a 3hr road trip to Zambales with occasional local wet market stopovers along Subic to buy fruits to add to our menu. Thanks to the ever trustworthy app Waze, we had no time wasted on small town traffic and we got to our destination without ever getting lost!

As we reached Pampanga, the views and sceneries would give you the hint that you’re already away from the city!

The plan was Pundaquit Beach, and we reached the destination at around 9AM. We got to check out the beach before even settling in somewhere and to be honest, it was quite disappointing. I’m just not gonna go into details of why and how disappointing it was but we obviously didn’t waste another minute and we moved to a better location.

Don’t get me wrong, the scenes were already breathtaking from Pundaquit, but we decided to take a ‘bangka’ ride to Anawangin Cove!

The breathtakingly beautiful Anawangin! The place is undeniably beautiful and perfect for those who really want to get away from everything. From annoying people in real life to annoying people on social media because there is No Service at all. I guess the only downside is that there are no establishments around. No hotels or resorts to stay in. There are Huts available but camping on your tents is how people do overnights in this place. And if you do plan on camping, be sure to have everything. There are small stores available but I don’t really know what they have. Anyways, more photos of the beautiful Anawanging.

Thank you to my cousins, I had a wonderful time! ♥️
