FOODIES: The Cheesecake Factory

This post isn’t necessarily a restaurant review but I would just like to share with you guys our experience at The Cheesecake Factory, Mall of the Emirates 🙂
If you have read my post here, I have mentioned that we went to Global Village on Josel’s last night in Dubai. Well before we got there, we went to Mall of the Emirates first and had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I have always wanted to try there since the first one opened in Dubai Mall a few months ago but it’s always so crowded! So last Friday, even if we had to wait for an hour and a half to 2 hours, we did and it was all worth it! Just to let you all know too, I think we only waited for 50-60mins, and we were so glad because we were starving and that was 5pm already.

The restaurant was literally huge and the photo you’re seeing above is, I think, more or less just a quarter of it. The ambiance of course was perfect, although, since it’s a huge restaurant with a lot of people, expect it to be really noisy when all chatters mix together. But of course, important are the servers, and they were undeniably accommodating and surely the friendliest people you will ever meet.
So, off to what we had! 🙂
(Again mind you guys, I am no food blogger and what’s written here is solely based on my opinion and taste buds 😛 )

What I had: The Louisiana Chicken Pasta
This was really really good, in my opinion. First time to eat here and I loved what I had. If you know me well, you know that I love pasta! And this is fairly safe since I adore any kinds of pasta but in a way, also a risk since I just saw that it might be spicy, I went ahead with it without knowing much of how it would even look like. Lol
This is really good for those who love spicy foods and have never thought that pastas would ever be spicy. Haha. Even my family said the same thing!

What my sister had: Famous Factory Meatloaf
To be honest, I didn’t really like this that much. I loved the mashed potato with the gravy though, haha! But yeah, this might have been good if they added more flavor to it.

What my parents had: Salisbury Chopped Steak
The family is very much into steak but this one wasn’t really that likable too. I guess because it wasn’t really chopped, more of ground. And its taste was very much similar to what my sister had.
Nonetheless, food was very good here. It’s just really hard to choose since there’s a ton of choices. I think just for a page of specials, they have 15 dishes there already. Somehow you have to come ready for what you want to eat. It may be pasta, steak or just burgers or you’ll take forever to decide because everything seems so good! 😉
But again, what is Cheesecake Factory without having to order Cheesecake!! 😛 We had Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake (my favorite) and 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecake to go! Very very yummy of course 😛
Once again, my love for food is showcased 🙂 This post turned out to be a long one, unexpectedly. Haha! Hope you guys liked what I shared with you 🙂
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 - A review

Wicked Oreos

I never really had wicked oreos before since I left the Philippines already when I first heard it. And according to my sister and many friends, they’re wickedly delish! Therefore one afternoon, I had the urge to search the internet and immediately called Papa to buy me the ingredients that we don’t have.

So what you’ll need:
  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 1 egg
  • a reasonable amount of butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Oreos
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Hershey’s chocolate syrup
  • Pre-heated deep fryer
Step by step process:

Step 1: Mix all the pancake ingredients together

Step 2: Take your Oreos and dip it in the batter covering both sides

Step 3: Put the oreos in the deep fryer. The cookie will float and make sure to flip it over so that both sides will be golder brown!

Add then Vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup to improve the taste 😀
Of course you can improvise too and add whichever you like, sprinkles, etc.
Very easy right?
So go ahead, make this at home and enjoy!

Spur Steak Ranches

Okay, I know that you guys maybe wondering that I’ve been blogging about food lately and asking if I’m turning out to be a food blogger. Well let’s just say that I blog about anything and everything under the sun and it would be great for a blogger to be adventurous right? So here I am, blogging about a steak house that my parents and I tried and loved!!

So last night we were in Dubai Festival City and was actually expecting to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse, and if ever.. also going to be my first time! But then, since Mama forgot her discount card, I was wanting pizza so then I was in line already to order at Pizza Hut. But then, since my parent caught their eyes on this restaurant and was very much curious, we tried so! 🙂

Well, they were kind of pricey and similar to that of T.G.I. Fridays. Well you know how diners and steakhouses actually look like in the U.S. right? So yeah, it was of the same. But of course, it is the food that everyone looks forward to!

But before the food, let me just brag about how I was impressed because they gave up wipes before the meal. You know how some restaurants don’t have places to wash your hands first before meals right, then have to eat with them after shopping and touching different things, right? This was definitely +points for me!

About our food!! My parents had their trio combo, a combination of Chicken, Beef and Ribs Steak which was absolutely delish. We were shocked to even see how big the serving was that was actually good for the 3 of us already. But then, I love steak don’t get me wrong, but I prefer to order chunky patty burgers coz they’re my all time favourite food to eat!! 😀 And I know that my parents would order the steak and share it with me! Haha.

After the meal, since we didn’t have starters, we had dessert!! 🙂 I had a Chocolate Sundae!! Ofcourse, this is way different from what I dearly love from Mcdonald’s!! LOL. This had whip cream, almonds and a wafer then the ice cream and chocolate syrup which was oh so yummy!! :)))

After eating, all the shops were closed so we went home already!! But we plan on coming back tomorrow to have breakfast and check out possible house decorations in IKEA tomorrow. Hopefully I have THE pizza or Outback Steakhouse that I’ve been craving!! Now what to wear tomorrow???? ^_^
xx, Anna
